Tuttosport reports that Juventus executives will meet with Franck Kessié’s agent later this week to discuss a possible free transfer for the ex-Milan and Atalanta star.
Juventus are expected to meet Kessié’s agent in Milan this week to sound out the midfielder’s availability to move to the Allianz Stadium on a free transfer this summer, reports Tuttosport.
The Turin-based paper claims that Kessié has rejected an offer to extend his contract with Al-Ahli. His current deal runs out at the end of this month.
The Ivory Coast international has reportedly turned down a €12m-a-year salary for the next two seasons.
A former Milan and Atalanta star, Kessié has already confirmed publicly that he’s ready to return to Serie A.
Naturally, however, a move to any Italian club would require the 29-year-old to cut his hefty salary.
Juventus already held talks with Kessié’s entourage in the January window, but Al-Ahli would not let the Ivorian midfielder leave.
The Bianconeri remain interested in Kessié, even with new director Giovanni Carnevali in charge, and the first summer meeting between the two parties is likely to take place in a few days.
Kessié’s agent is expected to hold talks with other Serie A clubs as well.
