Kayode is one of the eight players shortlisted for the award.
Manchester City duo Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly, West Ham’s Matheus Fernandes, Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall, Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, as well as Bournemouth stars Kroupi and Alex Scott are also in contention for the award.

Kayode has featured regularly for Brentford this season, scoring one goal, and providing one assists in 35 league appearances.
The 21-year-old’s long throw-ins have also proved to be a potent weapon for the Bees this season.
The right-back joined Brentford on loan from Serie A club Fiorentina in January.
The move was made permanent by the London club last summer.
