Kruger United are believed to be considering giving Wandisile Letlabika a role at the club following news that he has retired from the game after winning automatic promotion with the Mpumalanga-based outfit.

Soccer Laduma reported earlier this week that the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic defender has called time on his playing career and it's now been established that there are talks within the corridors at Kruger that he will be given a role.

Indications are that the 36-year-old Letlabika wants to go into coaching post his playing career, and Kruger could give him an opportunity to start that chapter at the club.

With the club needing to have a DStv Diski Challenge side as a topflight team, Kruger are likely to have him working with the young players as a member of the technical team in that league.

Kruger, meanwhile, are set to appoint former Black Leopards coach Joel Masutha as an assistant, Soccer Laduma reported this week. Masutha is expected to be part of the team when pre-season starts for the club.

Kruger will be playing their home matches at Mbombela Stadium in the coming campaign, but there are plans to improve facilities at Thulamahashe Stadium and Kanyamazane Stadium
