Milan have appointed Ruben Amorim as their new head coach, but plans to reshape the club’s management structure have stalled, with Markus Krösche and Timmo Hardung set to remain at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Milan’s search for a new director of football and sporting director has to start from scratch, as Eintracht Frankfurt pair Krösche and Hardung are not expected to leave the Bundesliga side this summer.
According to sources in Germany, quoted by Gazzetta, Eintracht are unwilling to release their directors, as doing so would affect their planning for the 2026-27 campaign.
Both Krösche and Hardung had reached an agreement with Milan over the last few days, giving the green light to appointing Amorim as their new coach.
Eintracht, however, have refused to release the pair, especially as the Rossoneri are reportedly unwilling to pay a fee to secure their release.
Krösche was set to become Milan’s new Football Director, with Hardung joining as a sporting director, but Milan’s search will have to start from scratch now.
