Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the appointment of Cesar Peixoto as their new head coach, meaning he will now take charge of Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare and the rest of the Wolves squad next season.
After leaving Gil Vicente, the 46-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028, subject to a work permit.
A former Portugal international, Peixoto was part of Jose Mourinho's UEFA Champions League-winning FC Porto squad in 2004 before moving into coaching.
The move comes after Rob Edwards was dismissed last week following a difficult spell in charge.
Edwards took over at Molineux in November, but his efforts to secure Premier League survival fell short as Wolves were relegated and now prepare for life in the Championship.
Arokodare has been retained by Wolves for the 2026-27 season despite speculation over his future following the club's relegation to the second tier of English football.
After joining Wolves from Racing Genk last September, the Nigeria international contributed six goals and two assists in 38 outings across all competitions during his debut campaign.
