Through official channels, South Korean top-flight club Gangwon FC have confirmed the signing of Jesse Sekidika.
Although the length of the contract signed by the 29-year-old has not been disclosed, Sekidika is set to join Gangwon FC on a free transfer, with his contract with Sabah FK expiring on June 30, 2026.
The attacker boasts an impressive football résumé, having previously featured for Benfica’s youth team as well as Turkish giants Galatasaray.
He enjoyed success at his last club, Sabah FK, where he won the domestic double in the 2025-2026 campaign and lifted the cup in the previous season.
The Nigerian forward also won the league during his time with then Serbian second tier side Napredak Kruševac in 2015-2016.
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, he has also worn the colours of Oeiras, Eskişehirspor, Konyaspor, OH Leuven, Eyüpspor and Ümraniyespor in the past.
A product of Brooke House College, Sekidika departs Sabah FK after directly participating in 31 goals (21 goals, 10 assists) in 107 matches across all competitions.
He is an attacker blessed with pace and creative flair, capable of unsettling opposition defences with explosive bursts of acceleration and a powerful right-footed shot.
