A PSL club’s chairman has moved quickly to dismiss reports of unpaid salaries and his players going on strike ahead of their last fixture of the season this weekend.
Baroka FC players were reported to have downed tools on Tuesday and threatened to boycott their next fixture, which is against Upington City in Lebowakgomo on Sunday.
They have already been relegated to ABC Motsepe League together with their neighbours, Black Leopards.

According to one of the players at the club, they have not received salaries dating back to April.
"We have tried to raise this issue with the management, without success," said the player, who preferred to remain anonymous.
"We are not going back to training until our issues have been sorted out," the footballer said.
“We have families to take care of, and we need the money to put food on the table."
However, Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has dismissed the reports. "There are no issues (regarding unpaid salaries),” Mphahlele tells KickOff.
