Moroccan international Ismael Saibari is reportedly close to joining German giants Bayern Munich during the current summer transfer window, with negotiations entering their final stages.
German media reports indicate that the 25-year-old midfielder has successfully completed the medical examinations required for the transfer from PSV Eindhoven, paving the way for the completion of the deal pending final administrative procedures and the official signing of his contract.
According to the reports, the medical examination was conducted at the Moroccan national team’s training base in New Jersey, where the Atlas Lions are preparing for their upcoming matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Bayern Munich’s medical staff reportedly traveled to the United States to oversee the process.
Bayern and PSV have already reached an agreement on the terms of the transfer, according to the reports. The deal is expected to be worth approximately €55 million, including performance-related bonuses and incentives.
Saibari is expected to sign a contract that would keep him at the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2031.
The move follows an impressive season with PSV, during which Saibari established himself as one of the Eredivisie’s standout attacking midfielders. He has also continued to raise his profile with strong performances for Morocco at the World Cup.
The midfielder attracted particular attention during Morocco’s opening match against Brazil, scoring the Atlas Lions’ goal in a 1-1 draw and further enhancing his reputation on the international stage.
If officially confirmed, the transfer would mark the biggest step of Saibari’s career, offering him the opportunity to compete for one of Europe’s most successful clubs while highlighting the growing demand for Moroccan talent in the international transfer market.
