
Sharks look north as flyhalf search intensifies
The Sharks’ search for a new flyhalf has reportedly led them to former Ireland international Ross Byrne, with the experienced ex-Leinster playmaker emerging as the latest target for the Durban franchise.
The Sharks are on the hunt for a new flyhalf and could turn their attentions to an Irish international.
Earlier this month, the Durban-based franchise were linked to Italian Tommaso Allan as well as Wallaby veteran James O’Connor.

Ross Byrne, currently at English club Gloucester, who has been capped 22 times for Ireland, is the latest name on the Sharks’ radar, according to Rapport.
The 31-year-old was capped 194 times for Leinster, scoring 1207 points, and offers a physical presence at pivot, standing 1.91m and weighing 90 kg.
