
Sundowns to get Champions League final defensive boost
Mamelodi Sundowns’ defensive concerns for the CAF Champions League final could get lighter based on events developing at Chloorkop ahead of this decider.
Miguel Cardoso’s uncertainties with the options available for him at central defence for the CAF Champions League could have all but evaporated by Sunday.
Sundowns play AS FAR in the first leg of the final on Sunday (16:00) at Loftus Versfeld, doing so faced with centre-back questions.

However, he has been back at training and on Thursday appeared to train with no limitations or issues.

The 28-year-old has been prominent at centre-back this season, playing 30 games and only missing three in the Champions League.
He has played the most minutes of all central defenders and brings both stability and intelligence.
