
Alex is the Academy Manager and Senior Editor at GIVEMESPORT, having over 10 years of experience in the industry after graduating from De Montfort University with a degree in Business Management & Enterprise.
Prior to GIVEMESPORT, Alex helped run a website called SillySeason, taking full control of its launch in the United Kingdom, running the entire site on a day-to-day basis.
Following a successful stint in the GIVEMESPORT Academy, Alex was offered a freelance position, before taking on a full-time role in 2016, eventually leading him to where he is today as manager of the programme.
Alex helps head up the boxing, UFC, F1, and WWE coverage for GIVEMESPORT, as well as the more niche sports, such as darts. He also provides training and feedback for aspiring journalists looking to break into the industry.
Alex has been fortunate enough to cover some massive events during his time at GIVEMESPORT, including Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov, the 2024 Olympics, and Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury.
The UFC is a cut-throat business. Lose a few fights in a row and your time in the company could be over. Fail to get the fans on side or get a reaction from the audience, and you could see your contract terminated.
Unsurprisingly, plenty of fighters have already been cut from Dana White's company, with a further three released in the middle of June, including a 16-fight veteran.
With cuts happening relatively frequently in the UFC, here is a tracker of every single fighter cut from the company in the year 2026.
