West Ham increasingly likely to keep hold of Jarrod Bowen after latest betting development

West Ham United are increasingly likely to keep hold of captain Jarrod Bowen this summer, according to one bookmaker, despite their relegation to the Championship.

The England international had been expected to depart the Hammers after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed, with numerous clubs chasing the winger.

However, Bowen has reiterated his desire to stay at West Ham despite the 29-year-old unlikely to be short of offers to return to the top-flight this summer.

Now, one UK bookmaker has dubbed his chances of staying at West Ham this summer at 1/1 after they were slashed.

As a result, they view his stay at the London Stadium as increasingly likely, in what could be a massive boost to the club’s promotion hopes.

Bowen played 42 matches in all competitions for the Hammers this season, and he scored 11 times while also providing 12 assists.

It is inevitable that West Ham will have to sell some of their players this summer transfer window after their relegation.

Reports suggest that the Hammers will have to raise around £100million in player sales due to their troubling financial situation.

However, if they are able to keep hold of Bowen, it will make West Ham instant promotion favourites.

The winger was one of the best players in the Premier League this season, with few achieving more goal contributions.

On top of this, Bowen has already experienced the Championship with Hull City, and he was a massive success.

Therefore, the winger could be a literal cheat code for Nuno Espirito Santo as he aims to pull the club back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown has exclusively told Football Insider that it will be hard for West Ham to keep hold of Mateus Fernandes this summer.

Clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the midfielder after an impressive campaign.

The Hammers value Fernandes at around £84m, but Brown believes that this asking price will dip as the end of the transfer window edges closer.

Therefore, it could become increasingly hard for the Hammers to keep hold of the star, especially due to the money they reportedly have to raise.
