West Ham United retaining their faith in Nuno Espirito Santo must mean that Max Kilman will be on his way out of the club this summer.
Kilman started the season in the West Ham starting eleven, but was shunned to the sidelines by Nuno as they battled relegation.
The Hammers’ drop to the Championship was confirmed last weekend, with the future of the Portuguese boss seeming uncertain as reports claimed that he was set to be relieved of his duties.
West Ham have, however, confirmed that Nuno will be staying on to lead them forward in the Championship, which surely leaves Kilman with only one option this summer.
It looks as if West Ham’s transfer dealings will mainly be focused on outgoings in the early stages of the window, meaning Kilman may well leave the London Stadium very soon.

Breaking news on signings, departures, and contract news from the West Ham United boardroom.
Kilman has certainly failed to live up to expectations at West Ham since a £40million move from Wolves in 2024.
He started and played the full 90 minutes in each of the Hammers’ first 12 league games of the campaign, but was soon dropped by Nuno in January.
The arrival of Chelsea loanee Axel Disasi added more quality and physicality to their backline, and Kilman soon struggled for minutes as Nuno reverted to a back four.
His last league start of the season came against his old club Wolves on 3 January, while he failed to even appear in any of their final 10 games of the season from the bench.
Nuno looks to have washed his hands of Kilman, despite offering him some praise after a decent performance against Leeds in their FA Cup quarter-final defeat.
Many of the concerns around Kilman have related to his lack of physicality, which does not lend itself to him making an impression in a league like the Championship.
Even though the likes of Disasi and Dinos Mavropanos are unlikely to be at the club next season, it is clear to see that Nuno does not see the 29-year-old as suitable to his system.
While the length of his contract means Kilman is unlikely to attract any permanent suitors, the Hammers should be confident of loaning him out, given how he has performed in the Premier League in the past.
Kilman will not be as in demand as some of his teammates, with several exits expected this summer as West Ham aim to raise over £100m in player sales.
A message to West Ham United supporters from the Board of Directors
Jarrod Bowen could be a headline departure following numerous seasons as their talisman, with the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle and Liverpool eyeing a move.
Sources have told Football Insider that up to ten West Ham players could leave this summer, with Crysencio Summerville potentially due to leave after he stars at the World Cup with the Netherlands.
Mateus Fernandes is another who looks set for an exit after an impressive season, while January signing Taty Castellanos is in talks to leave West Ham, as revealed by Football Insider.
