Yassine Jassim: World Cup call-up fulfills childhood dream

Morocco international Yassine Jassim expressed his delight at being selected for the national team’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, saying representing the Atlas Lions on football’s biggest stage had been a childhood dream.

In a post shared on Instagram, Jassim described the moment as the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice, saying his journey to the world stage included several difficult periods before reaching this level.

The player added that reflecting on the path he had taken made him feel even prouder, particularly because of the support he has received from Morocco and its fans.

Jassim concluded his message by expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to give everything in defense of the national team jersey and to raise Morocco’s flag high during the global tournament.
