Besiktas to decide futures of Ndidi and Uduokhai amid foreign player quota concerns

Turkish giants Beşiktaş J.K. are reportedly considering the departures of Nigeria-eligible duo Wilfred Ndidi and Felix Uduokhai as part of efforts to comply with the Turkish foreign player quota ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Ndidi joined the Black and Whites from Leicester City F.C. in the summer of 2025 and has since established himself as a key figure both on and off the pitch at the Istanbul-based club.

Despite his importance to the team, reports indicate that the Super Eagles midfielder has been included on a list of players who could be moved on as Beşiktaş embark on a major squad restructuring exercise.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, manager Vincenzo Italiano has identified both Ndidi and Uduokhai among the players who could depart as the club seeks to reshape its squad for the upcoming campaign.

The club's management is reportedly undertaking a comprehensive overhaul aimed at balancing the wage bill and creating room within the foreign player quota regulations.

Ndidi has already been linked with a potential move away from Istanbul, with reports suggesting that clubs in Saudi Arabia are monitoring his situation closely.

However, despite the growing speculation surrounding his future, the Nigerian international is expected to report for pre-season training on June 28.

A final decision on the futures of Ndidi, Uduokhai and other players facing uncertain situations is expected to be made by Italiano ahead of the 2026/27 season.
