Confirmed: Lawal follows Onuachu's footsteps with FC Ebedei to Midtjylland move

With a statement on the official website, Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland have confirmed the signing of promising Nigerian forward Olashile Musa Lawal .

This is not the first time FC Midtjylland have signed an attacker from their strategic partner in Nigeria.

Super Eagles star Paul Onuachu is widely regarded as the most talented forward transferred from FC Ebedei to FC Midtjylland.

Onuachu will forever have a place in the history books of Midtjylland, having scored 74 goals and registered 24 assists in 181 outings before he was sold to Racing Genk in August 2019.

Lawal also has a good physique and wins many of his duels, while also being fast.

Commenting on his move to the Wolves, the 18-year-old said: "It means an incredible amount to me. Since I was little, I have dreamed of taking this very step - it is huge.

"I have a lot of goals for myself and I know this is a big step in the right direction for me. I want to help the team and show what I can do as part of the academy.

"I am really looking forward to becoming part of the team, and I look forward to developing as a player and learning from the others."

Head of FCM Nigeria, Jonas Dal, has described Lawal as a player who can operate both as a number 9 and a tall striker, adding that he is incredibly skilled on the ball and possesses impressive technique.
