Bundesliga club Schalke 04 Junior Adamu have announced the signing of Nigerian-born striker Junior Adamu, Completesports.com reports.
Adamu, who joined Schalke 04 from Bundesliga 2 outfit SC Freiburg penned a contract until 30 June, 2029.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic, where he enjoyed a successful campaign, helping the club secure a domestic double.
Schalke’s Director of Professional Football, Youri Mulder, has expressed his delight at the arrival of the forward and believes he will be a valuable addition to the squad.

“With Junior, we are strengthening our squad with a player who meets the requirements of our playing style. He works hard off the ball and offers his teammates passing options with his deep, quick runs,” Mulder told the club’s official website.
“Junior is a team player who can demonstrate his strengths in several attacking positions and in different playing systems.”
Adamu is excited about the challenge ahead and hopes to achieve great success during his time at Schalke.
“In every conversation we had, it became clear to me why the coach and the sporting director wanted me on their team. The trust shown by those in charge and the clear playing philosophy were ultimately the reasons for me to play for this club with its enthusiastic fans,” said Adamu.
