Denmark U19 international of Nigerian descent Julius Emefile has been named FC Midtjylland's development Player of the Year for the 2025-2026 campaign.

The promising winger received the award at FC Midtjylland's annual awards ceremony on Friday evening,

Emefile made his debut for FC Midtjylland's first team in February 2026 and has since appeared three times and scored one goal.

He became the 83rd academy player to debut for the first team of the Wolves after coming off the bench for the final fifteen minutes of a 4-0 win at Silkeborg IF.

The 19-year-old winger joined FC Midtjylland from FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2024.

Alongside his first-team involvement, he has featured 28 times in the U19 League and made nine appearances in the UEFA Youth League.

Across the two youth competitions, he has recorded an impressive tally of 15 goals and one assist.

Overall, Emefile has been selected for fifteen first team games played by FC Midtjylland, and was on the bench for the Europa League round of 16 second leg clash with Nottingham Forest.
