Roma have reportedly turned down an initial €7.5m offer from PSV Eindhoven to buy Anass Salah-Eddine outright, as he could return to base after his loan.
The left-back was a significant investment at €8.5m when signed from FC Twente in February 2025, but made practically no impact at the Stadio Olimpico.
He was sent out on loan to PSV Eindhoven after just a few months in the Eternal City, with an additional rumoured option to buy worth €8m.
Salah-Eddine made 25 competitive appearances for the club this season, providing one assist, so Il Messaggero newspaper via Tuttomercatoweb claim that PSV offered €7.5m to make the move permanent.
However, it was considered insufficient by new director of sport Tony D’Amico.
There are suggestions the 24-year-old is eager to remain at Roma and win over coach Gian Piero Gasperini, especially after the Giallorossi qualified for the Champions League.
He can play as a left-back or in a more advanced left wing-back role, as well as central midfield.
The Morocco international is currently at the 2026 World Cup with his country.
