Ruben Amorim is all set to take over from Massimiliano Allegri as head coach of Milan, and the latest updates claim that he is already in contact with Markus Krösche, who has reportedly said ‘yes’ to the idea of becoming the new Rossoneri technical director.
Change is finally on the horizon for Milan, who have been without a head coach, sporting director, technical director or CEO for close to a month of the off-season. Amorim is set to join on an initial two-year contract and is expected to put pen to paper on his Rossoneri contract by the end of Tuesday.
Monday’s reports also indicate that Milan are making progress in their hunt for a new technical director. The club had originally been in talks with Ralf Rangnick, which have since definitively broken down.
It now appears that Milan have settled on another German in Krösche, currently with Eintracht Frankfurt, to take over as technical director or ‘head of football’.
According to updates from Milan expert Antonio Vitello, Krösche has ‘said yes’ to the idea of joining Milan and now Frankfurt are expecting a call from Gerry Cardinale and/or Zlatan Ibrahimovic to formally negotiate a deal for the director.
The latest update claims that Amorim and Krösche have already been in contact with one another.
If Milan are able to pull off a deal for Krösche, which may prove to be expensive, it is expected that Frankfurt’s current sporting director, Timmo Hardung will follow.
